Role & seniority: Quality Analyst (mid-level)

Review finished products, process certifications, inspection reports, and compile final customer inspection packages to ensure specs and contractual requirements are met
Serve as primary liaison for customer quality reps/source inspectors; interpret GD&T specs and ensure compliance with identification, paint, coating, welding, and testing per customer standards
Investigate nonconformances and drive corrective actions; support build team and project stakeholders; maintain knowledge of standards and perform physical inspections of tooling and related records
High School Diploma/GED + ≥3 years in QA buyoff/engineering or aerospace tooling
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle overtime/weekends as needed
Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 QMS
Proficient in GD&T interpretation; demonstrated process leadership and continuous improvement

Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team!
Responsibilities
Review finished products to ensure that all specifications and contractual requirements have been met and that component accountability is complete Review special process certifications for compliance to customer requirements Review final inspection reports of details, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies Review and approve Tool Inspection Records, FAI reports, CofC documents, and compile final customer inspection packages Follow the companies’ document control protocols per the Quality Management System. Support manual inspection utilizing micrometers, calipers, etc. to ensure the integrity of the components as needed Maintain knowledge of customer and industry standards and specifications Serve as the primary liaison contact and support for customer quality representatives and source inspectors Stay current and up to date on customer quality clauses and standards which may require online accounts Physical review of tooling, tool ID, torque striping/bugging, proof load witnessing, vacuum, etc Problem investigation and resolution in accordance with Nonconformance/Corrective Action Processes, Quality Manager, Build Lead, Program Manager, etc. Provide support to the build team, project managers, and other stakeholders by interpreting GD & T specifications and ensuring compliance with identification, paint, coating, welding, and testing requirements in accordance with customer standards. Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma/GED required Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality assurance buyoff/engineering position or in aerospace and/or aerospace tooling industry Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe tools, ensuring timely and accurate creation of professional materials Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast- paced environment Able to work overtime and weekends when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Proficient in GD & T interpretation Confident in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities to improve current processes. Ability to collaborate with the management team to help drive performance and efficiencies.
