Role & seniority: Data QA Engineer, Analytics (mid-level with 3+ years QA experience); reports to the Lead QA Engineer.

Design, build, and test high-quality data pipelines, models, and integrations; ensure data accuracy and integrity across internal and external systems.
Implement and enforce data validation processes; design and maintain test cases for data accuracy, transformation, and performance; validate end-to-end data flows.
Collaborate with Product Management and development teams to triage issues, resolve data/infrastructure/integration bottlenecks, and develop automation for complex data solutions.

As a Data QA Engineer, Analytics, you will assist the Analytics team by testing features that require an exchange of data with external and internal systems. You will work closely with other software engineers to rigorously test data-driven features, focusing on validation processes that often operate without a user interface, and ensure developed code meets stated objectives and adheres to the team's quality standards. This position will report directly to the Lead QA Engineer.
This position offers a base salary of $105,000 and company equity.
The Day-to-Day
Collaborate in an Agile environment to design, build and deliver high-quality data pipelines, models and integrations - including the ThoughtSpot, ChurnZero, NextBee and marketing data models, as well as Snowflake-based solutions. Partner with Product Management to triage and prioritize issues and work with development teams to eliminate bottlenecks by quickly identifying and resolving data, infrastructure or integration issues. Implement and enforce data validation processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and trustworthiness of data used both internally and externally. Design and maintain test cases specifically for data accuracy, transformation, and performance, often requiring direct database interaction. Propose and write automations to test complex data solutions and third party integrations, particularly for data integrity and flow.

Starting with the obvious: you are PASSIONATE! (Seriously, you must LOVE what you do!) You have 3+ years of QA experience as an integral part of development teams. You have strong debugging skills with the focus on identifying root causes and supporting engineers in resolving issues. You possess extensive experience in relational databases such as MySQL, with advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis. You are skilled at ensuring data integrity during complex data migrations. You have a solid background in testing API frameworks using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools and validating end-to-end data flow of data exchange solutions. You are proficient in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium). You are experienced in at least one scripting language (JavaScript / TypeScript preferred). You are skilled in designing and executing manual test cases, along with detailed documentation of results. You have experience with Agile and Scrum practices and tools. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship And you have a bachelor's degree in anything.
