Test Analyst

Location: United States Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Analyst to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of software applications. The ideal candidate will design and execute test strategies, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze business and system requirements Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts Execute manual and/or automated testing (functional, regression, system, UAT) Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools Work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve issues Perform root cause analysis for defects and failures Ensure software meets quality standards and user expectations Participate in Agile/Scrum activities (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Maintain detailed test documentation and reports Continuously improve testing processes and quality practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 1–4 years of experience in software testing or QA roles Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies Experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) Knowledge of manual and basic automation testing Familiarity with Agile methodologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Skills Experience with API testing (Postman, REST APIs) Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript) Understanding of database testing (SQL) Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) ISTQB certification is a plus
