**Top 3 responsibilities: **

Design, develop, and execute test plans/scenarios for Kafka message production, consumption, and processing.
Validate data integrity in Kafka pipelines (serialization/deserialization, data validation) and verify end-to-end message flow.
Implement and troubleshoot automated Kafka tests using Kafka client configuration; integrate into CI workflows.

Role Name: Automation Test Engineer (Karate Framework with Kafka)

Location: Cleveland, OH – Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days’ work from home)

Duration: Full Time permanent

Experience: 5-7 years

Strong understanding of Kafka concepts, including topics, partitions, consumers, producers, and security.
Hands-on required on Oracle and Mongo - able to write queries based on mapping logic.
Must have Message testing experience (JSON, Avro, Kafka etc).
Strong in Kafka client configuration and troubleshooting Kafka issues.
Experience in continuous integration and automated testing.
Able to verify the integrity of data flowing through Kafka, including data serialization/deserialization, and data validation.
Design, Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to verify Kafka functionality, including data production, consumption, and message processing.
Working knowledge and experience of Postman, Git.
Agile ceremonies, X-ray and Jira/Confluence experience
