Position Summary

  • Implementation, Adaptation and Maintenance of Quality Management System & Special Processes (such as Heat Treat, Chemical Processing, NDT and Welding) to company’s and customers’ specifications.

Essential Job Functions

Internal & External audits (e.g. NADCAP/Customer): preparation, performance, creation of audit documentation (audit plans, checklists, audit reports, CARs) and follow-up Review and implement, as required, corrective actions from internal or external (NADCAP/Customer) audits Coordinate all process testing activities (processing and testing of coupons) Gap analysis on requirements for new customer Quality / Special Processes requirements Determine any need for instruments/equipment, request quotes and raise P/O requisition Monitor purchasing equipment/maintenance Support process planning Oversee all quality and process requirements Ensure use of proper equipment Creation & maintenance of quality system documentation, including review and implementation of new/revised requirements from customers and regulatory authority, revisions to the Quality System manual, creation of/revisions to procedures, work instructions (WIs) and forms

Qualification of processes (coordination of activities: review of process requirements, submission of Request for Deviations to the customer, preparation of test coupons, submission of test results, etc.) Process Customer requested Quality self-audits /surveys Prepare training material and supply training as needed Statistical/trend analysis of data Implementation and support of a Continuous Improvement program (CPI)

Skills and Experience

  • Experience implementing NADCAP requirements
  • Familiarity with special process requirements, such as requirements for Heat Treat of Aluminum, Chemical Processing, NDT, Coatings, Welding, etc.
  • Experience with quality system implementation, maintenance and/or improvement
  • Experience with the aspects related to the performance of audits (quality system, process and product)

Education

  • Minimum of a Technical 2-year engineering related certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the Aviation industry would be considered an asset
