The Test Architect will define and implement test strategies and automation frameworks for cloud-native applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role involves designing scalable test architectures for backend and frontend applications, integrating modern testing tools, and ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation, cloud testing, and technical leadership, with the ability to mentor QA teams and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.
Define and implement the test architecture strategy for cloud-native applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform. Lead the design and development of automation frameworks for backend (Java) and frontend (React, Next.js) applications. Evaluate and integrate modern testing tools such as Selenium and Playwright for UI, API, and end-to-end testing. Establish test strategies for microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable shift-left testing practices. Drive performance, security, and accessibility testing across applications. Define and enforce quality gates, test coverage metrics, and defect triage processes. Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to validate new testing tools and approaches. Mentor QA engineers across onsite and offshore teams, promoting best practices and technical excellence. Work closely with product owners, developers, and architects to ensure testability and quality from design through delivery. Enable test data management, mocking strategies, and environment provisioning for reliable automation. Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, compliance, and security protocols.
10+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test architecture roles. Strong expertise in testing Java, React.js, and Next.js applications. Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright. Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, preferably on Google Cloud Platform. Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
