Under general direction, designs, develops, and applies testing frameworks, methodologies, and tools to maintain effective test cases and automation scripts; and supports application regression testing, patch validation, and defect verification to ensure quality and stability of software.

Required Education and ExperienceEducation: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Four years of experience in software quality assurance, including developing test plans and performing manual and automated testing.
Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
