QA Automation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for new features and existing applications. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test reports, and defect logs based on client and business requirements. Collaborate with developers, project managers, and client support teams to understand system requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies. Document test results and provide detailed feedback to ensure issues are resolved before product release. Assist in troubleshooting and reproducing production issues in a controlled testing environment. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance software quality, performance, and testability. Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, frameworks, and best practices in automation and QA.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role, with expertise in both manual and automated testing. Proficiency in Java for developing and executing automated test scripts.
Web automation: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, CI/CD integration (Azure).
Mobile/handheld automation: Appium and related frameworks. Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, bug reporting, and project tracking. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git). Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Professional certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent. Strong background in manual testing for web and mobile applications. Experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Maven for automated web testing. Experience with Appium for mobile test automation. Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (Azure).
