Position Overview Cintel is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software and system testing, automation, and evaluation of large-scale, high-performance immersive systems. This role requires a proven ability to design, implement, and manage complex test environments while ensuring compliance with government standards and supporting program objectives. Key Responsibilities Create and automate software test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Perform application testing, validate bugs, and isolate issues to improve system quality. Initiate, execute, and analyze test results, reporting findings through ticketing systems. Perform configuration management, change management, and release management. Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. Design and conduct test and evaluation procedures to verify system requirements. Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and test architectures. Write, implement, and report on system test cases, providing progress updates. Serve as a subject matter expert in testing practices for highly complex software/hardware systems. Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development, emphasizing user requirements, test design, and tool selection. Review government test plans and reports for compliance, technical soundness, and effectiveness. Observe and evaluate customer acceptance testing, providing feedback and recommendations. Support integration activities for developed application software. Identify, document, and analyze issues, providing root-cause analysis and remediation guidance. Assist in scheduling test events and managing test environments. Prepare and present test results, including formal reviews, audits, and decision support materials. Maintain and control multiple test software and hardware baselines. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in software/system testing, automation, and evaluation. Strong background in automated test tools, test design, and test strategy implementation. Experience with high-performance and large-scale immersive systems is highly desirable.
