Stack / tools: Azure Data Lake / Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL; Stored procedures, data modeling; C#; SDLC; DevOps; Visio; Python (for automated data quality checks); QA documentation and validation frameworks
Reconcile data between source systems, staging, and curated layers in Azure Data Lake/Synapse
Conduct regression testing on modified pipelines, stored procedures, and data models to ensure no new issues
Develop and execute detailed data test plans, validate SQL/ETL outputs, and collaborate with data engineers, ETL devs, and BAs to resolve discrepancies
Extensive Agile/Scrum experience (7+ years)
Strong SQL/SQL Server, stored procedures, and data validation
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing (Azure Synapse, Data Factory)
Oracle/PL-SQL knowledge; C# familiarity; DevOps practices; SDLC
Ability to maintain QA documentation, test results, issue logs, and validation procedures
Experience developing automated data quality checks or unit tests (SQL, Python or approved tools)
Samples of previous QA documents or test artifacts
Prior experience with Azure Synapse pipelines and data transformations in a data lake

Stored Procedures Visio Scrum / Agile C# Software Development Life Cycle SQL Server DevOps Oracle PL/SQL Data Factory/Synapse Database Entity Design Samples of previous documents created strongly preferred. Maintain data QA documentation including test results, issue logs, and validation procedures. Support the development of automated data quality checks or unit tests using SQL, Python, or other approved tools. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, data validation frameworks, and DevOps testing integration.
What You’ll Do
Reconcile data between source systems, staging areas, and curated data layers in Azure Data Lake or Synapse. Conduct regression testing on modified pipelines, stored procedures, or data models to confirm that changes do not introduce new issues. Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business analysts to document and resolve data discrepancies. Review and validate the output of SQL and ETL development to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business rules. Develop and execute detailed data test plans, test cases, and validation scripts targeting Azure Synapse pipelines, stored procedures, and data transformations.
