We are currently looking for a Software Test Engineer for a 100% remote position supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications through both manual and automated testing. This role involves planning, executing, and documenting test efforts while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics applications. Perform manual and automated testing of Dynamics 365 modules, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting. Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into effective test scenarios. Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test results, coverage metrics, and quality status reports. Recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team efficiency. Assist end users during UAT and provide support for testing-related queries and issues. Ensure testing activities comply with organizational standards and best practices. Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications. Familiarity with Dynamics 365 modules, workflows, and business processes. Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or TestRail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Additional Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, EasyRepro, RSAT, or Playwright. Knowledge of API testing and integration testing. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or QA certifications. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate). Prior experience collaborating with VA stakeholders to optimize CRM workflows and enhance service delivery. Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) within a federal agency environment. Proven knowledge of Department of Veterans Affairs operations, policies, and programs, with an emphasis on client-facing technology solutions.
