Role & seniority: Hardware Verification / Test Engineer (entry to mid level; 1+ years of industry experience preferred)

Stack/tools: Electrical/IO-focused programming (C/C++, C#, Java, Python); Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams); test fixtures and test tool design; knowledge of SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG, USB, PCIe, Ethernet; HDD/SSD test methodologies; MAP SLT familiarity (advantage)

  • Support and develop test processes for legacy and new products (fixture/test tool design, software development, documentation, training)

  • Data collection, defect investigation, and collaboration with design teams to resolve production test issues

  • Prototyping bring-up, design verification activities, first-article test execution, and coordination with global suppliers/repair teams

Must-have skills

  • BS in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent); 1+ years of industry experience preferred

  • Programming ability in one or more of C/C++, C#, Java, Python

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; independent and team-oriented work capability

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HDD/SSD testing methodology and MAP SLT; hands-on test fixture/tool design experience

  • Familiarity with production/test environments and travel to production sites

Opportunity Overview The Hardware Verification Team within the Integrated Systems Test Group is responsible for verifying the system components meet design specifications prior to customer shipment.  Our products include the HDD, SSD and SLT test platforms.  We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and eager to learn hardware verification/test engineer to join us in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment!

Support and develop test processes for legacy and new products including test fixture and test tool design, test software development, test documentation, and training Data collection and defect investigation Collaborate with the extended design team to solve production test issues Prototypes bring up and facilitate design verification activities Executing test processes on first article assemblies Support senior engineering activities including parts procurement, research, and coordinating shipments to global subcontract suppliers and repair/support teams Collaboration with a global workforce which includes travel to production sites as required to support our test processes

BS degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering or equivalent 1+ years of industry experience preferred Software programming knowledge, preferably in C/C+, C#, Java, Python Strong computer skills that include familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams

Some experience with communication protocols including

SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG, USB, PCIE and Ethernet

Some understanding of MAP SLT, HDD and SSD testing methodology is advantageous Ability to work independently and on teams to achieve goals Ability to learn new things and get up to speed quickly Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Experience and Education

BS degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering or equivalent 1+ years of industry experience preferred

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $65,300- 104,500. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
