Role & seniority: QA/QC Site Support Specialist (assist the QA/QC Site Supervisor) in a mid-level to operational role within the QA/QC team.
Stack/tools: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with construction management software such as Autodesk Build, BIM 360, Cx Alloy, Stratus, Revit, Procore, plus other project documentation systems.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the project QA/QC program; review specifications, drawings, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance.
Inspect materials, equipment, installation processes, and completed systems; coordinate tests/inspections and document results; maintain NCRs and QA/QC records.
Participate in root cause analysis, audits, and coordination with project team and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements; prepare QA/QC documentation.
Experience in installation or design of mechanical and plumbing systems (or equivalent project/management experience).
Strong knowledge of mechanical/plumbing codes; excellent verbal/written communication; problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, manage documentation precisely, and learn/use multiple software/tools; maintain accuracy and timelines.
CWI and/or NACE certifications; mechanical or plumbing license.
3+ years in construction with 2+ years in HVAC, pipefitting, or plumbing.

Nature of Work
Support and assist the QA/QC Site Supervisor in ensuring a timely execution of the QA/QC program. Duties may include review of codes/standards, various types of contract documents, site inspections, testing, keeping detailed records of results, and resolving quality issues with team members.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of the project QA/QC program. Review specifications, drawings, submittals, installation drawings, and other pertinent contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements. Inspect materials, equipment, installation processes and installed systems during construction to ensure that all work is installed in accordance with approved shop drawings and project documents. Coordinate & conduct required tests and inspections at applicable witness or hold points and at completion of system installation(s)for compliance with the project requirements and QA/QC program. Maintain detailed and organized records of inspections, test results, non- conformance reports (NCRs), and other required QA/QC documents in accordance with the project QA/QC program. Participates in Root Cause Analysis (RCAs). Work with the project team, other contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to resolve quality issues and implement improvements to future workflows. Perform internal audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented. Prepare and submit QA/QC documentation for records. Monitor and verify testing equipment for proper calibration and certification. Refer any questions to QAQC Site Supervisor or department QA/QC Manager. Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner. Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards. Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role. Maintains a professional appearance and workspace. Participates in and complies with all company safety and quality programs and procedures. Promote the company safety culture and safety awareness throughout the company, projects, or office. Utilizes relevant company-related technology to support all assigned responsibilities. Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record which, per Company’s vehicle policy, allows operation of a company vehicle. Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
Experience in installation or design of mechanical and plumbing systems or has relevant experience in management of mechanical installations. Is proficient in MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience in a variety of construction management software (Autodesk Build, BIM 360, Cx Alloy, Stratus, Revit, Procore, etc.). Ability to learn and efficiently use a variety of company-related software, tools, and systems necessary to meet business needs. Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes. Has excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills. Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and clients. Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Ability to identify, communicate, understand, and implement best practice standards Ability to multitask while delivering quality through attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to change and stress in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining high performance levels. Ability to be proactive and resourceful when issues arise.
Education
Associate's degree from 2-year college/university or HVAC certification from technical school or equivalent field experience. CWI and NACE certifications preferred. Mechanical or Plumbing license preferred.
Experience
3 years or more of related work experience work experience in the construction industry required. 2 years or more in the HVAC, pipefitting, and/or plumbing industries preferred. Other technical experience such as military, public service, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Normal construction site environment with periods of time spent in office environment and occupied customer facilities Requires travel to job sites and may require occasional periods of overnight travel
Frequent activity: standing, walking long distances (2-4 miles a day), bending, reaching above shoulder, climbing ladders/scaffolding and in/out of ditches/trenches
Occasional activity: sitting, viewing and typing on computer screen This position may be required to use a ladder and work at tall heights (i.e. roof top, access ladders, scissor-lift, scaffolding) Safety-sensitive position that requires extreme focus and attention to safety hazards and safety protocols
