Must-have skills

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Experience in PCB design, manufacturing, assembly, rework/repair
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; Linux familiarity
Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers); documentation skills

Nice-to-haves

Space hardware or aerospace/test qualification experience
Cleanroom/part of production environment experience
Experience designing test setups and automating AIT workflows
Additional: Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to quality/control processes; able to support customers and author technical docs

Role Description

In this role, the successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary engineering team to support assembly, integration, and test of Infinity Avionics commercial and R&D products. The successful candidate is expected to have the ability to communicate concisely and clearly, follow company policies and procedures and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assembly, Integration and Test of Devices

Conduct hardware testing at design level and product level to ensure proper functionality
Assemble and test electronic hardware, including PCB-level diagnostics and rework
Build and verify electrical harnesses
Maintain and develop SOPs, test procedures, and manufacturing documentation
Coordinate component procurement and part manufacture
Identify process bottlenecks and drive efficiency improvements
Operate in cleanroom environments following strict protocols

Development of Test and Production Aids

Design and build test PCBs and production aids
Develop Python-based test automation tools
Write embedded software to exercise product functions

Qualification Campaigns

Support environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum)
Liaise with test houses and design custom jigs for qualification
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams across multiple projects
Provide technical support to customers via email, phone, and site visits
Author documentation such as quick start guides and application notes
