Perform fiber characterization tests (OTDR, CD/PMD, power meter/laser, fiber end-face) and splice/re-splice as needed
Prepare testing packages, redline project docs, provide test reports, and manage field documentation
Interface with vendors, interpret test results, conduct site surveys, and provide field analysis of vendor fiber networks
3+ years telecom industry experience; OTDR testing experience
Fiber network troubleshooting proficiency; ISP/OSP understanding
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel

Day to Day
A team of two people working on a project They will be provided a scope pf work document Understanding of test results interpretation Contractor will be interfacing with vendors during their work day and follow all compliance policies The contractor will communicate with their team and project manager therefore good communication is key The contractor will get assigned a project to a location between Thursday and Friday and travel on Monday Contractor must be available to be reassigned at any moment (this doesn't happen often)
