TEST ENGINEER

Nature Of Work

Designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Preparing test proposals, developing test processes and specifying equipment necessary to test complex defense and aerospace electronics systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Will consider equivalent experience. 7+ years of test engineering experience Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, schematics and test procedures. Experience with writing Excel VBA code and using excel formulas.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintaining departmental proposal worksheet Establishing test process flow, equipment capacity models and test labor requirements for new programs Reviewing technical data packages for accuracy and completeness. Writing technical reports to a multifaceted team related to design, test and electrical failures and manufacture of electronic products Effectively and clearly communicating to management on status of projects Identifying and driving test and process improvements to closure Identifying and communicating product software and hardware design deficiencies to customers Training technicians in debug of functional test failures and use of diagnostic equipment Works in a team environment to ensure that all technical requirements are successfully met.
