POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our our direct client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the validation and verification of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and packaged applications in non-production environments, ensuring they meet quality standards before deployment to production. This role requires a proactive approach to testing, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently manage assigned project tracks and deliverables. Develop automated test suites for various applications. Conduct testing of mobile applications, including functional system, integration, and regression testing of service applications. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases, and prepare necessary test data. Utilize Confluence extensively for open knowledge-sharing. Support off-hours system launches and monitoring in collaboration with IT teams. Log, manage, and retest defects using a bug tracking system. Identify inconsistencies and flaws in applications. Verify data quality, ensuring incoming data matches existing data, and validate functionality and data output against requirements. Report testing status, milestones, and issues to project stakeholders. Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with web applications and client-server technology. Proficiency in Agile methodology. Skilled in interface testing, system testing, regression testing, functional testing, black-box testing, and white-box testing. Knowledge of data conversion testing and backend data validation using SQL/MySQL. Ability to perform automated end-to-end testing using open-source tools such as Selenium or Coded UI. Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA. Expertise in automating test scripts using Python/Selenium WebDriver. Experience in setting up and maintaining QA environments and test data management. Programming skills in Java, Visual Basic, C, C#, C++, or XML. Proficient in SQL for querying and extracting data from databases. Experience with test management tools like Zephyr or Test Link.
