Must Haves

Description

Background Information

This is a Systems Testing/QA Specialist-Senior role that will augment the existing team/s working on PCOI (Provincial Consent Override Interface) R3 and later releases. The resource may also work on the next release of CMTA (Consent Management Technology Asset) or other solutions/systems when there is a gap between current release and the next or if project priorities change. The purpose of this request is to acquire resources with the following set of skills to deliver thoroughly tested releases under tight timelines

Responsibilities

The resource Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist will be required to

• Contribute towards development of testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing
• Provide test estimates to Test lead for assigned testing tasks
• Develop and execute manual test cases and test data.
• Execute functional & system integration testing for UI (User Interface) and backend systems, connectivity/error handling testing, and other test types as defined in the test strategy/plan.
• Develop and execute robust and dynamic automated test scripts, parameterize test data, and integrate the scripts into an automated test suite.
• Maintain and update the automated test suite due to changes in functionality
• Develop test plans, test scripts and test cases and execute these against the various components.
• Work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the required systems

Desired Skills

Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices. Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards Experience planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms Experience executing functional tests, non-functional tests and systems level integration tests Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structured methodologies Experience creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools

Evaluation Criteria

Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience manual testing and automating applications within electronic health-related projects, ideally with experience testing clinical software.: 20 Points

Knowledge of one or more of the following applications: Provincial Consent Override Interface (PCOI), Consent Management Technology Asset (CMTA), Ontario Lab Information System (OLIS), Provincial Client Registry (PCR), SMILE/CMRO system and Ontario Access Gateway (OAG).: 10 Points. Hands-on experience with UI and Web Services automation tools such as SOAPUI, Dexter, Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, JIRA, Data Driven automated testing.: 30 Points Experience in working with and testing with ORACLE and SQL databases. This includes creating test data and queries.: 10 Points Knowledge and hands-on testing experience with HL7 messages and data structures.: 10 Points

Knowledge and hands-on testing experience with FHIR messages and data: 10 Points

Experience testing with testing RESTful APIs.: 5 Points Experience with testing system accesses based on SAML Authentication/authorization as well as OAuth V.2 and JWT tokens.: 5 Points

Total evaluation criteria: 100 Points

Deliverables

Review of solution design and requirements to provide input on test effort estimation Traceability matrix covering all requirements in project scope High level test scenarios and detailed test cases creation and execution Test data as per test scenarios/test cases Automated test script creation and execution Issue escalation, follow up and troubleshooting, and defect management Test reports

Notes

Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid". The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.

Term: The term of this Engagement Assignment is 251 Business Days, with an option to extend for an additional 251 days at Ontario Health's discretion. The Engagement Assignment may also be extended for unused Business Days at Ontario Health's discretion.

The resource will comply with Ontario Health policies and procedures.

Ontario Health systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Ontario Health assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from Ontario Health.

Location: Up to 3 days per week onsite (subject to hiring managers discretion)
