Apple’s RF System Engineering team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated individual to work on integration of NFC technologies into Apple’s wireless products.
DESCRIPTION
You will validate and characterize wireless system performance across wireless technologies towards industry conformance / use case requirements, perform debug and failure analysis of issues with cross-functional engineering teams and drive issues to closure. You will be responsible to complete certification testing.
Examples of activities you may be involved in are: - Executing validation and characterization test plans to meet industry and performance requirements. - Bringing-up device-under-test and setups for validation readiness. - Defining test requirements, design and implementing test systems. - Tracking validation status, analyze results, communicate issues and insights from data to cross functional forum. - Performing failure analysis to understand low margin or failures making use of experimental SW/FW and mock-up hardware. - Collaborating with test equipment vendors, technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize radio performance of device. - Supporting manufacturing test and certification of Apple products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Practical knowledge in NFC. Experience with using RF lab test equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Practical knowledge of transceiver architecture and RF front-end characteristics that impact NFC system level RF parametric including field strength and sensitivity. Practical knowledge of NFC technology including its standards (ISO14443, EMVCo) including performance requirements, conformance requirements and required testing methodologies. Experience with test evaluation and hands-on debug of troubleshooting NFC. Hands-on experience with RF equipments such as network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of MAC/PHY Layer and application layer for NFC. Proficiency at HFSS/CST simulations to model/analyze wireless HW issues. Knowledge of Python, to help define new requirements and debug of our test automation.
