Your Role As a Senior System Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of our advanced defence products. This includes taking full technical ownership – from designing and developing test systems, through rigorous lab and flight testing, to final qualification. Your expertise will ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of test systems and infrastructure for missiles and launchers. Set up and configure test environments, ensuring robust hardware and software integration for reliable performance. Develop and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests, simulating real-world conditions to verify system functionality early in the process. Define and document test procedures aligned with relevant standards and certification requirements. Coordinate with internal teams and external test sites, including supervising and accompanying tests performed by third-party organizations. Select, integrate, and calibrate flight test instrumentation to capture precise data during testing campaigns. Plan and conduct flight tests, managing all aspects from preparation to execution in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Analyze and document test results, transforming data into actionable insights and comprehensive reports. Prepare documentation to support product qualification and ensure compliance with defense standards. Collaborate closely with mechanical, propulsion, control, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated, high-quality testing solutions. Your Profile Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Several years of professional experience in system testing, including design and setup of test systems, HIL testing, and flight testing. Hands-on expertise in test infrastructure development, instrumentation integration, and data acquisition for complex systems. Familiarity with aerospace or defense qualification processes and relevant industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, AECTP). Strong understanding of embedded systems and control architectures, with the ability to collaborate across mechanical, propulsion, and software domains. Qualification of handling explosives is an advantage. Structured, solution-oriented mindset, combined with excellent teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Citizenship: Must be a national of an EU or NATO member state (excluding the United States). Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
