Role & seniority: QA Automation Engineer (mid-level)
Location & work type: Madrid-based, hybrid model (onsite 3 days/week) with occasional travel to customer premises in Madrid

Perform end-to-end solution testing in testing and production environments; analyze results against standards and requirements
Develop QA policies, standards, and procedures; plan and coordinate system/acceptance tests within projects
Build/deploy test pipelines and processes in CI/CD; contribute to defining quality processes and standards
2+ years in test automation and infrastructure (Python advantage) and 2+ years as Backend QA
Deep understanding of quality methodologies, testing tools, and CI/CD
Experience with Linux shell; familiarity with Kubernetes/microservices or cloud tech is a plus
Good communication; native Spanish; proficiency in English (written, spoken, reading)

Join us as a QA Automation Engineer to conduct automated quality tests in a customer environment. This role follows a hybrid model, involving being present at ThetaRay's Madrid site three times a week, along with occasional travel to ThetaRay customers' premises in Madrid. Responsibilities Perform E-2-E solution testing on testing and production environments. Development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards, and procedures for the solution deployed for the customer. Work with project stakeholders to determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during system development life cycles. Conduct tests and analyze results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client and technical requirements. Coordinate and manage planning of system and/or acceptance tests within a development or integration project. Build and deploy test pipelines and test processes in the CI/CD environment Develop smart, stable, and clean code using Python, Java, and more - BE & FE tests with various tools Take part in defining quality processes and standards to meet the company's quality vision Work in an agile environment, a fast and challenging company with constant learning
Requirements At least 2 years of experience developing test automation and infrastructures – Python (advantage) or Java At least 2 years of experience as a Backend QA Deep understanding of quality methodologies, testing tools, and CI/CD flows Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, or cloud technologies – a significant advantage Experience with Linux shell and CI/CD utilities – a significant advantage A genuine passion for AI and proficiency working with cutting-edge AI development tools and technologies
