Job responsibilities Develop and own end-to-end test strategies for financial applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing. Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (UI, API, backend services). Perform manual testing for edge cases, complex workflows, and new features. Work closely with developers to identify, document, and resolve defects in a timely manner. Ensure testing covers compliance, risk, and security requirements relevant to FinTech (PCI DSS, AML-related flows, data integrity, etc.). Analyze logs, monitor system performance, and help troubleshoot production issues. Participate in code reviews for test-related changes, providing feedback on testability and quality. Mentor QA team members and contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and tooling. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and enforce quality gates.
Required qualifications 4–6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 2 years in a Senior role. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium). Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or RestAssured. Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Good understanding of SQL and ability to validate data integrity in complex databases. Experience in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Trading, or other regulated industries is a strong advantage. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
