Must-have skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies

  • 1+ year experience using electronics test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.)

  • Ability to work all shifts, overtime/weekends as needed; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; perform physical job requirements

Nice-to-haves

  • Aerospace/high-reliability industry experience

  • IPC-A-620, NASA 8739-4, J-STD-001, or SpaceX AV1200-4 certifications

  • Knowledge of electronics theory; 3D modeling/drafting; schematic capture; experience with Atlassian tools

AVIONICS INTEGRATION & TEST TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP)

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and work from released schematics and drawings as well as from uncontrolled documentation. Interpret design intent and provide feedback to engineering to complete documentation Perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks Perform integration on a full system suite of electronics to include on-vehicle, ground segment, and ground support applications. Additionally, document the results in a clear, precise, and complete manner Assemble and repair high quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components Support the development of avionics hardware and procedural improvements via design, test, fabrication, and work instruction efforts. Self-monitor progress and achieve on time delivery of all work

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate 1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies 1+ years of experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)

Preferred Skills And Experience

Experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industry Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity Ability to use precision measuring instruments Prior or current IPC-A-620, NASA 8739-4, J-STD-001, or SpaceX AV1200-4 certifications Basic knowledge of electronics theory and principles Experience drafting or modeling in a 3D environment Experience using schematic capture applications Experience with Atlassian tools including Confluence and JIRA Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy

Additional Requirements

Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed Ability to work at elevated heights. Some travelling will be necessary - 10% Ability to pass NASA-STD-8739.6B Section 5.7.6 vision and color requirements

Stand: Up to 10 hours per day

Push/Pull: Up to 75lbs. (unassisted) 1-2 hours per day

Overhead reach: Up to 6 hours per day

Walk: Up to 6 hours per day

Lift/Carry: Up to 50lbs. (unassisted) 1-2 hours per day

Climb (ladder/stairs): Up to 10 hours per day

Kneel/Crouch: Up to 6 hours per day

Upper body twist: Up to 6 hours per day Ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees up to 6 hours per day Candidate must be capable of safely working at heights (up to 500ft), in confined spaces, using an air purifying respirator, and performing the physical requirements of the job listed in the job description. Candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment questionnaire and/or physical to confirm these capabilities, which may include a medical history review
