Description
We are seeking an experienced Telecom BSS QA Lead to establish and lead quality assurance practices for our Business Support Systems. The ideal candidate will define test strategies, lead QA teams, implement automation frameworks, and ensure comprehensive testing coverage for billing, CRM, and order management systems. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and leadership skills to build high-performing QA teams and drive quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 QA engineers across manual and automation testing Define comprehensive test strategies for BSS systems including billing, CRM, and order management Establish QA processes, standards, and best practices for BSS testing Design and oversee implementation of test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration Plan and coordinate end-to-end testing including functional, integration, performance, and UAT Manage test data creation strategies for complex billing scenarios and customer lifecycles Oversee API testing, database validation, and system integration testing Define and track quality metrics, test coverage, and defect trends Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts on quality requirements Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives Manage QA resource allocation, capacity planning, and team development Ensure compliance with release management processes and production readiness criteria
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 8+ years of QA experience with 5+ years in telecom BSS domain 3+ years in QA leadership roles managing teams of 5+ engineers
Deep understanding of BSS systems: billing, CRM, order management, product catalog Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, REST Assured, Cypress) Experience with API testing, database testing, and performance testing Proficiency in programming languages for test automation (Java, Python) Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail) ISTQB Advanced or Expert level certification preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
