Role & seniority: Test Engineer III (mid-senior level) leading test efforts for mission-critical aerospace/defense products.
Stack/tools: Ruggedized server testing; MIL-STD/DO compliant testing; secure software testing; tools/languages: LabVIEW, Python, Bash, C#, MATLAB; engineering lifecycle tools: Jama, Jira, Bitbucket; documentation: Confluence, SharePoint.
Implement standardized system testing practices across rugged servers and secure software.
Design/execute verification and validation tests (functional, environmental, stress, security) per military standards and cybersecurity requirements.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams; prepare test documentation and metrics; coordinate with program managers to meet timelines.
6–10 years in testing complex hardware/software systems; experience with aerospace/defense or government sectors.
Experience with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275; DO-178C/DO-254 familiarity; secure software testing (vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, crypto modules).
Ruggedized server testing in harsh environments; road testing across hardware/electrical/software.
Programming/data-collection tools: LabVIEW, Python, Bash, MATLAB, C#; experience with Jama, Jira, Bitbucket.
Ability to obtain/maintain active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Mercury Systems is seeking a Test Engineer III to lead test efforts in developing and executing server systems for mission critical aerospace and defense applications. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring product reliability, performance, and security across the full engineering lifecycle from concept to sustainment.
