Overview
We are hiring GPU Performance Verification Engineers to join our team in Cork, focused on verifying and optimizing the performance of next-generation Adreno GPUs—central to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platforms, including the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite. This role is pivotal in ensuring our GPUs deliver industry-leading performance across gaming, compute, and AI workloads, while maintaining power efficiency and architectural scalability.
Why This Role Matters
The Adreno GPU is a cornerstone of Qualcomm’s graphics innovation. With the launch of Snapdragon X Elite, Adreno entered the high-performance compute space, delivering up to 4.6 TFLOPS of GPU compute and supporting real-time ray tracing, 240 FPS mobile gaming, and AI-powered graphics enhancements
The sliced architecture enables independent shader processor-based cores, improving concurrency and work distribution.
In mobile, the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Elite—formerly known as Gen 4—marks a major leap forward. It integrates the 2nd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU and Adreno 830 GPU, delivering over 30% performance uplift compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 . The platform supports Unreal Engine 5.3, Nanite, and Chaos Physics, enabling film-quality 3D environments and lifelike object interactions on smartphones
AI Leadership in Adreno GPUs
Adreno GPUs are now tightly integrated with Qualcomm’s AI Engine, enabling real-time, on-device AI use cases across vision, language, and audio. The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers up to 45% faster AI performance, supporting multi-modal GenAI workloads such as
Real-time semantic segmentation for camera enhancements.
AI-powered ray tracing and denoising for immersive gaming.
Low-latency translation and voice interaction on-device
