About The Opportunity
This role centers around building reliable, reusable, and forward thinking automation that fits into a modern toolchain that includes Tosca, qTest, CI and CD platforms, and integration layers for APIs and enterprise workflows. You will partner closely with architects and product teams to define testability, shape strategy, and support continuous improvement efforts across the value stream. The position also offers opportunities to take on test leadership responsibilities, guiding peers and helping maintain excellence in quality engineering practices.
Core Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in quality engineering or test automation, with at least three years dedicated to Tricentis Tosca. Significant experience writing, optimizing, and maintaining Tosca automation for complex enterprise systems. Hands on exposure to environments that include SAP and Salesforce. Three or more years of API testing, including REST and SOAP, JSON and XML validation, authentication flows, and environment variable management.
Preferred Experience
Certifications from Tricentis such as Automation Specialist, Test Design Specialist, or SAP Specialist. Background in the energy or utilities field or experience within large enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management ecosystems. Familiarity with performance testing, service virtualization, and test data management practices. Experience improving automation reliability within Salesforce Lightning or SAP interfaces including table handling and synchronization. The Senior Test Automation Engineer develops, maintains, and expands automation assets that support mission critical workflows. Your contributions ensure that core systems remain dependable through continuous change and rapid delivery cycles. You will help evolve frameworks that support SAP and Salesforce testing, shape strategies that strengthen automation maturity, and ensure that automated quality practices align with Agile and DevSecOps principles. Key Responsibilities
Create and refine Tosca automation assets including modules, test cases, templates, and execution lists with a focus on reusability and data driven design. Serve as a subject matter expert for Tosca development and automation methodologies. Build and improve frameworks for SAP and Salesforce automation, including integrations that span APIs and user workflows. Design and execute integration and end to end automation that validates interactions between SAP and Salesforce systems. Use Tosca API Scan to automate REST and SOAP services with token handling, correlation, and chained call execution. Manage distributed execution and coordinate automation runs through Jenkins or Azure DevOps, ensuring that results flow into qTest for reporting and traceability. Collaborate with product teams to define testability requirements, manage test data strategies, and support environment readiness. Track and improve quality metrics including automation coverage, stability, and resolution times, and communicate insights to stakeholders. Establish and uphold standards for naming, structure, version control, and peer reviews of automation assets. Mentor teammates by sharing best practices on shift left approaches, risk based testing, and API first automation. Collaborate with performance and security teams to align non functional testing efforts and ensure quality gates are met. Support user acceptance testing cycles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen reliability. Act as a central point of contact for support needs related to automation within the value stream. Communicate results, findings, and recommendations clearly to partners across the organization.
