Overview We are seeking our new Senior Quality Engineer to join the Axway team! We are seeking a goal-oriented, detail-driven, and experienced QA Engineer to join our internal SecureTransport team. Axway SecureTransport is a multi-protocol, high-performance Managed File Transfer (MFT) gateway used to securely move, manage, and monitor file flows across enterprise environments. It supports a wide range of scenarios—from large-scale, automated, high-volume system-to-system transfers to user-initiated exchanges through portals, folders, and mobile interfaces. SecureTransport enables seamless, secure integration across internal systems, external partners, cloud environments, and mobile devices. Responsibilities Perform both manual and automated testing across API/backend layers as well as integration and regression test cycles Troubleshoot and analyze issues efficiently, communicate findings clearly to development and product teams while keeping strong attention to detail Utilize Java, version control knowledge for creating or extending automated tests, and supporting backend validation activities. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using established test automation frameworks. Manage tasks independently, demonstrating strong ownership, organization, and reliability in day-to-day work. Work closely with team members, providing support and contributing to a collaborative, productive environment. Help other team members from the same Unit with their tasks where needed Perform testing, debugging, and environment management on both Linux and Windows platforms, utilizing command-line tools and utilities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance, ideally including work on enterprise products Strong foundation in manual and automated testing, including ReST API, integration, and end-to-end testing and methodologies Attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills Good troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking Mature, self-organized, and responsible person Practical experience with Linux and Windows operating systems Familiarity with CI/CD practices, version control (Git or similar), test-management bug-tracking tools Experience with Java programming language Familiar with Test Automation Tools Good command of English language – both written and spoken Nice to have skills and knowledge Application Security Testing — familiarity with security-testing strategies, best practices, methodologies, and commonly used tooling Advanced Networking Knowledge — understanding of network and security protocols, firewalls, routing, packet inspection/sniffing, and related diagnostic tools Enterprise Architecture & Data Flow Understanding — a strong grasp of system architecture, integration patterns, and secure data-flow concepts, including protocols commonly used in MFT platforms (FTPs, HTTPs, AS2, S3, etc.) Containerization & Orchestration — hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in development, testing, or production-like environments Cloud-Based Kubernetes Services — exposure to Amazon EKS, Azure AKS (or equivalent managed Kubernetes offerings) Infrastructure as Code — experience working with Terraform for provisioning, managing, or automating cloud and on-prem environments Company Overview At Axway, we’re more than a company—we’re a pioneer.
