Top 3 responsibilities

  • Conduct Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), in-flight troubleshooting, and verifications to ensure airworthiness after maintenance or modifications.

  • Perform pre-flight readiness, in-flight operation, post-flight data recording, and completion of maintenance forms, records, and logbooks.

  • Lead briefings to flight crews and maintenance personnel; ensure all operations follow safety and applicable published requirements.

Must-have skills

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent training/experience.

  • 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Test Pilot (per AR 95-20).

  • Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter with Instrument Helicopter rating.

  • US military maintenance test pilot course graduate for the relevant airframe.

  • Ability to pass Army/FAA Class II Flight Physical (initial and annual).

  • Proficiency with MS Office; strong mathematical and data interpretation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional certifications or experience in related helicopter/aerial systems; advanced flight test instrumentation familiarity.

Location: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Description

Functions as the Aviation Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) under the direction of the Production Control (PC) Manager. The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) shall be responsible for performing Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), conducting in-flight troubleshooting and verifications of aircraft to ensure airworthiness upon completion of extensive disassembly for maintenance, repair, replacement or modification of components or aircraft systems. Flights typically associated with this position include determining the availability of required aircraft power, assessing power plant health and performance, and verifying the functioning of aircraft components and systems in accordance with applicable aircraft technical publications and predetermined requirements. The MTP shall perform general or limited test flights of aircraft when ground diagnostic tests cannot determine the safe and/or proper functioning of aircraft components or systems. The MTP shall conduct aircraft general and pre-flight readiness inspections. The MTP shall successfully start, run-up, fly, navigate and safely land aircraft IAW applicable aircraft operators manual. The MTP shall correctly complete all required aircraft maintenance forms, records, and aircraft logbooks entries. The MTP shall perform mathematical calculations, performance data, and landing configurations of the type series. The MTP shall conduct briefings to flight crew members and maintenance personnel in support of the various MTP aircraft operations as stated above. Ensures that all related operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or equivalent training and experience required. 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Test pilot meets requirements of AR 95-20 required. Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter license. Graduate of a US Military maintenance test pilot course of type and series of airframe being hired for. Successfully pass the Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter. Proficient in MS Office software.

Medical Examination: Candidates must successfully complete all mandatory medical examinations required to obtain employment.

Criminal Record: To qualify for a Saudi Work Visa, candidates must have a clean criminal record with no prior convictions, as specified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Drug and Alcohol Testing: Candidates must pass a drug test to be considered for employment. Additionally, our ATSS program enforces a random drug and alcohol testing policy. Employees will be subject to periodic testing to maintain adherence to our workplace standards and safety regulations.
