UK | Semiconductor Design & Development | Principal Applications Engineering

About The Company

Our client is a leading designer, developer, and global supplier of power semiconductors, delivering high-performance solutions for HPC, automotive, industrial, and energy applications. Their advanced semiconductor technologies drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation across global markets.

To support their European R&D expansion, they are seeking an Experienced Applications Engineer, based in the UK, to lead Applications and Validation activities working on next-generation power semiconductor solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical applications / validation support for power semiconductor design and development in the UK Define and drive design strategies, methodologies, and innovation roadmaps. Collaborate with global engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams. Engage with customers and industry partners to align design efforts with market needs. Ensure compliance with quality, reliability, and industry standards for power semiconductor design.

Qualifications & Experience

Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field. Extensive experience in power semiconductor design, including MOSFETs, IGBTs and PMIC's Proven experience leading application and validation activities on complex PMIC designs Strong understanding of design tools, simulation methodologies, and power electronics applications. Strong communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams. Fluent in English
