QATJ - Job Scanner

Scan external job pages faster, then move the right roles into QATestingJobs.

QATJ - Job Scanner is the browser-side tool for supported job boards. Use it to scan a role, preview ATS-style fit, avoid duplicate saves, and push the best opportunities into your actual workflow only when they are worth keeping.

Built for QATestingJobs users who want to scan external QA job pages and move the strongest roles into a structured workflow.

Scan supported job pages

Open the extension on a supported external listing to pull in the title, company, source URL, and visible job-description context without rebuilding the role manually.

Preview fit before you save

Use your connected resume to see ATS-style fit signals on the page, then decide whether the role deserves deeper work inside QATestingJobs.

Avoid duplicate tracker clutter

QATJ - Job Scanner checks whether the job is already in your workflow so you can skip duplicate saves and keep Applications cleaner.

What QATJ - Job Scanner includes

  • Chrome Web Store install flow tied to your QATestingJobs account
  • Supported-page job extraction for title, company, source URL, and visible description content
  • ATS-style preview flow that uses your selected resume context
  • Duplicate detection before saving a role into Applications
  • Direct handoff into QATestingJobs when a role is worth tracking

How to use QATJ - Job Scanner

The workflow is intentionally short: install it once, open it on a supported job page, review the scan, then keep only the roles that deserve a real application workflow.

Step 1

Install QATJ - Job Scanner

Open the Chrome Web Store listing, add the extension to Chrome, and keep it pinned so it is easy to open while browsing job boards.

Step 2

Open it on a supported job page

Navigate to a live job listing on a supported external site, then open the extension from your toolbar to start a scan.

Step 3

Connect your account and resume

If needed, sign in to QATestingJobs from the extension so it can load your account context and the resume you want to use for fit preview.

Step 4

Review the scan and ATS preview

Check the extracted job details, confirm the page was parsed correctly, and use the ATS-style preview to decide whether the role is worth keeping.

Step 5

Save the role into Applications

If the role looks strong, send it into QATestingJobs so it lands in your Applications workflow instead of disappearing into browser tabs or bookmarks.

When to use it

Use QATJ - Job Scanner when the job lives on an external hiring page and you want to keep the real job context attached from the start instead of copy-pasting titles, company names, and description fragments into separate tools.

The extension is strongest at the top of the funnel: scan quickly, reject weak roles early, and only move the best opportunities into Applications when you are ready to track them properly.

Permissions and privacy

The extension reads supported job-page content only when you open or rescan it on an active tab. That lets it extract the details needed for ATS preview, duplicate detection, and tracker save flows.

QATestingJobs does not position the extension as a general browsing tool. It is meant for the job-capture workflow only, and the full data-handling details are documented in the privacy policy.
