Salary: USD 72,800–87,360 per
Role & seniority: QAPI Practitioner, mid-to-senior level; reports to Corporate Compliance Officer; no direct supervisory reports.
Stack/tools: EMR documentation; data collection/trending; quality analytics programs (e.g., SHP, Deyta); HIS data processing; Microsoft Office; regulatory/compliance databases.
Lead and facilitate QAPI initiatives, data analysis, trend detection, and improvement activities per the Avow Hospice QAPI Plan.
Instruct, coach, and educate clinical and non-clinical staff; act as resource for quality analytics, customer satisfaction programs, and CAHPS-related improvements.
Oversee adverse event reporting, compliance monitoring, policy/procedure changes, and coordination with Joint Commission standards.
Registered Nurse licensed in Florida; Bachelor’s in nursing (Master’s preferred); 5–8+ years in healthcare (hospice/homecare) with leadership exposure.
Strong regulatory knowledge (Joint Commission, OIG, federal/state regs); data analysis; excellent written/spoken communication; instructional/coaching ability.
Proficient in computer/databases and Microsoft Office; ability to review records for eligibility/medical necessity; audit and reporting capabilities.
Certifications: CHPN, CPHQ; CPR certification; CHPN to be completed within 1 year of start.
Valid Florida driver’s license; experience with CAHPS and quality/regulatory education initiatives.

Salary Range: $72,800.00 - $87,360.00 Salary/year The QAPI Practitioner reports directly to the Corporate Compliance Officer; provides oversight to assigned aspects of the organization QAPI/Corporate Compliance Program, EMR Documentation, Clinician Education, Team Support and Outcome Performance as well as department based specialty projects and responsibilities. Position may include driving for field evaluations and home visits.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including database software and Microsoft programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no direct reports for this position.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s in nursing degree preferred with a current RN Florida license; Master’s degree desired. A minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in a healthcare organization including exposure to Homecare/Hospice, to include demonstrated leadership, familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations; The Joint Commission Standards of care; OIG Corporate Compliance Program; Federal and State regulatory requirements and compliance guidance for health care providers.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages/fractions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida. Valid Florida driver’s license. Preferred certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), and/or Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse CHPN®. CHPN Certification to be completed within1 year from position start date (Hospice). CPR certification required.
