Role & seniority: Camera Image Quality Engineer (2+ years exp in related field); position at Qualcomm India Private Limited
Stack/tools: MATLAB, Python, C/C++; familiarity with camera imaging algorithms (traditional and ML-based), image quality metrics, ML for computer vision/computational photography
Design and develop image quality evaluation systems and IQ metrics for mobile, automotive, IoT, XR, and compute cameras
Define IQ validation protocols, generate image/video datasets, and develop IQ metrics to evaluate/qualify camera solutions
Develop lab automation tools, IQ metric analysis, and IQ report generation; communicate findings to improve IQ features
2+ years in image processing, computer vision, camera hardware/software, or related
Strong knowledge of IQ evaluation methodologies, metrics, and IQ lab/test design
Experience in objective IQ metric development; ML algorithms for vision or computational photography
Familiarity with camera sensors/modules; proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++
Ability to generate IQ reports and collaborate with development teams
Advanced degree (MS/M.Tech or PhD) in Electronics, Electrical, or CS with specialization in Image Processing/Color Science
Experience in denoising/sharpening, color management, 3A, tone mapping, exposure control, and white balance
Experience tuning camera IQ for color, exposure, texture, noise, and bokeh
