Job Responsibilities: The Validation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of advanced automotive radar systems within the data collection fleet through test definition, data collection, high-level data performance analysis, strong interaction with the Radar Signal Processing team. Responsibilities include, setting up vehicles with Radars, reference systems and data acquisition systems. Both bench-level and vehicle-level verification and validation will be necessary; additionally, assisting in resolving problems and issues that occur during installation in customer vehicles will be required. Your Responsibilities: Full understanding of the data acquisition system and associated interfaces Setup vehicle which includes Radars, Reference Cameras, Lidars, DGPS, Data Acquisition racks and cablings. Conduct test drives to make sure vehicle is setup as required Review daily vehicle setup needs for data collection and coordinate work plan with data collection team Review and analyze product requirements to design and develop testing artifacts and provide inputs to product development teams on missing/deficient requirements. Design, develop, and deploy validation test fixtures etc. to validate Radar sensor Participate in process action teams as part of the global product engineering development process improvement activity. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, research, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to product, processes and programs. Generate and maintain all necessary validation engineering documentation and data to ensure traceability and compliance to company procedures and application standards. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Who we are looking for Education BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Experience 5+ years of experience in vehicle setup and testing Your preferred qualifications: Expert knowledge in testing and validation processes Good understanding of software, electronics and hardware design Familiarity with Automotive CAN and Ethernet network Experience with reviewing and executing test plan Must possess an unrestricted and valid US issued driver license. Flexible work schedule requires to accommodate early morning or weekend work Automotive industry background is a plus Proven ability to deliver technical assignments Excellent team player with proven leadership ability Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Some domestic and international travel may be required Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
