Role & seniority: Quality Engineer I (entry level), full-time, permanent
Stack/tools: Quality systems and procedures; documentation management (COCs, deviations, quality history); inspection strategies for receiving/pre-ship/out-of-box audits; data analysis and problem-solving tools; cross-functional collaboration; training and coaching of operators/technicians
Ensure continuous quality compliance in manufacturing operations; monitor operations; address quality issues; lead containment and purges as needed
Develop and manage inspection strategy for receiving, pre-ship, and outbound audits; maintain Certificates of Compliance and deviation documentation; support regulatory/customer audits
Drive proactive continuous improvement on yield and quality metrics; design templates and document databases; supervise and mentor QA inspectors/technicians; escalate issues as required
Bachelor’s degree; 0–2 years of related experience
Strong problem-solving and data analysis capabilities
Ability to design/execute experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; cross-functional collaboration
Ability to implement quality procedures, train staff, and reduce waste/scrap
Subject Matter Expert in a designated system/process
Experience with customer/specification compliance, audits, and RMAs
Lean/six sigma or formal continuo

Purpose Statement: The Quality Engineer I ensures continuous quality compliance during manufacturing operations. They monitor ongoing manufacturing operations to ensure quality issues are quickly addressed; provide quality alerts and lead containment and purges, when required. Lead the development of the inspection strategy for receiving inspection, pre-ship inspection, and out-of-box-audits. Ensure Certificates of Compliance are created and maintained, including documentation of deviations. Ensure creation and maintenance of manufacturing quality history documentation, as required.
