Test Cell Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Test Cell Engineer to join our Engineering Department and support engine testing operations for CFM56 and LEAP engines. This role carries technical responsibility for the test cell systems and ensures safe, accurate, and efficient execution of engine test runs. The Test Cell Engineer will provide troubleshooting support during tests, maintain system integrity, and drive continuous improvement of test cell processes and equipment.
Serve as the technical owner of test cell systems, including instrumentation, control systems, and data acquisition platforms. Plan, coordinate, and support engine test runs for CFM56 and LEAP engines in compliance with OEM and regulatory standards. Troubleshoot technical issues during test runs and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Ensure calibration and readiness of test cell equipment and instrumentation. Maintain and update test cell documentation, including procedures, system diagrams, and compliance records. Analyze test data and support reporting for engineering and customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for test cell reliability, safety, and efficiency. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges. Support audits and inspections related to test cell operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience in engine testing or test cell operations within aviation or MRO environments. Strong understanding of gas turbine engine principles and test procedures. Familiarity with OEM test manuals and regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA). Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and data acquisition tools. Proficiency in SAP and digital maintenance platforms preferred. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support critical operations. Willingness to travel internationally for training
