We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Interoperability Lab team, focusing on testing and validation of Dolby audio and video technologies across consumer living room devices. This role requires a passion for premium entertainment experiences and expertise in ensuring seamless integration of Dolby technologies across diverse hardware platforms.
Create and execute comprehensive test plans for Dolby audio and video technologies on living room devices Perform interoperability testing across multiple device categories including TVs, soundbars, AV receivers, streaming devices, gaming consoles, and set-top boxes Validate end-to-end content playback workflows from source to display/audio output Test various content delivery methods including streaming, broadcast, and physical media
Work closely with Dolby engineering teams to understand technology requirements and limitations Report and track defects using bug tracking systems
2+ years of experience in Engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or media technology
B. S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
Knowledge about HDMI transmission standards (HDMI v2.0 / CEC messaging / Capabilities signalization etc.). Experience in Web application development (JavaScript / Node.js / React.js). Knowledge about player application frameworks, such as Dash.JS, Shaka-Player, ExoPlayer etc.
Experience with content delivery networks and DRM systems is a plus
