Kardex AutoStore specializes in innovative automated storage and retrieval solutions. We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team in the role of Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be based in Kuala Lumpur. Office location is at Damansara Utama area. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic growing environment and contribute to the growth of our operations in the APAC region. Your tasks As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with our development team to ensure the Kardex WES platform remains in its best possible state. A robust and well-structured test suite is critical for detecting bugs and issues early in each release cycle, safeguarding the reliability of the platform. Automating regression tests plays a pivotal role by significantly reducing the time and effort compared to manual testing, while also allowing engineers to focus on innovation and other high-value tasks. Key Responsibilities Design, create, and execute both manual and automated test suites Develop and maintain test documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Issue Lists) Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Analyse test results and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, enhancing the quality of the product through meticulous attention to detail. Stay up to date with latest trends, tools and best practices in software testing, including advancements in automated testing frameworks and methodologies Contributing improvements to internal processes, understanding when time should be invested in automation Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of software releases. Perform meticulous bug tracking and reporting, delivering thorough documentation and fostering clear, proactive communication with developers to accelerate issue resolution. Requirements Multiple years of software testing experience with a focus on automation across web, and API domains. Proven mastery of automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent, with hands-on scripting in Typescript, JavaScript, or C#. Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (e.g., Typescript, Javascript). Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Grafana K6) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman). Experience in build automation and CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance (GitHub Actions, or similar). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment. Demonstrated leadership in driving QA initiatives and mentoring teams to success. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with containerized testing environments (Docker). An ISTQB CTFL certification is a plus in this position.
