The Role
AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: 4-8 years
The primary responsibility is the validation of BootROM, which includes the following tasks
Develop and execute test cases to validate all boot peripherals from where the FSBL (First Stage Boot Loader) is copied. Example: xSPI, SD, eMMC, UFS, USB Create and execute test cases to validate all proprietary boot sequences. Develop and execute test cases to validate all internal boot modes. Write and run test cases to validate all supported authentication algorithms. Develop and execute test cases to validate all supported encryption/decryption algorithms. Automate tests using Python. Perform testing on prototyping/emulation platforms, including X86 emulation. Identify, document, and track issues using JIRA. Report coverage metrics using tools such as Verdi and add tests to ensure maximum source line coverage. Review requirements and create associated test cases to ensure traceability. Collaborate with different teams to resolve any blockers. Engage in constructive discussions with the design team to improve the quality of the BootROM. Conduct security threat analysis using internal tools. Adhere to safety processes while performing the above tasks.
Academic Credentials
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
