The Physical Abilities Test Proctor is primarily responsible for conducting physical abilities exams (PAT, ORPAT, CPAT), making precise recordings of performance, providing candidate instructions and providing needed administrative support for the testing center. They are also responsible for making sure equipment is set up and working safely, as well as breaking down equipment and resetting the equipment after a test.
As a Written Test Proctor the primary responsibilities are candidate management, security and administration of the written exams. as well as operating audio visual equipment.

Administers and responsible for proctoring video-based tests Briefs candidates on rules and policies of the test center Conducts CPAT, ORPAT, PAT Orientations and mentors candidates when required Makes precise and accurate recording of student performance Maintains HIGH levels of test security Submits rating sheets and reports for scoring and processing Participates in training for proctors Provides professional and friendly customer service to all candidates Maintains testing center at highest level of cleanliness and order Maintains test equipment and upkeep; reports to Supervisor if equipment is broken or damaged Checks candidates in and out of center following NTN (National Testing Network) guidelines Drafts incident reports as needed Maintains files and testing materials Fitness or testing related background preferred Preference given to people with backgrounds in either; Police, Correction, Fire, Emergency Medical Technology / Paramedic CPR First Aid certification preferred Maintains records, and provides other record management activities as directed Maintains security regulations and procedures for tests, files, and records Maintains appropriate test conditions to ensure test and security procedures are followed Prepares daily records and files; purges inactive files; prepares transmittal information as required Participates as a team member in the delivery of optimum testing services to customers and organizations Studies and maintains familiarity with tests and test procedures Attends meetings, in-service, and training as needed

Terms Of Employment
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends. All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the College. Requires the provision of official transcripts upon hire Employees must maintain Oregon or Washington residency as a condition of employment. Part-time hourly positions will not exceed 900 working hours per fiscal year Successful applicants for designated positions must pass a background inquiry, which may include criminal, driving, credit and full background checks. Physical Requirements
