The QA Engineer will be a core contributor to ensuring product quality by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies. The role involves building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, performing manual and exploratory testing, and continuously improving QA methodologies.
Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders is essential to identify defects early and manage quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle. Senior-level candidates are also expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior QA engineers, and play a key role in defining the overall test strategy for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Execution: Design and implement test plans, cases, and scripts covering functionality, performance, security, and scalability.
Test Automation: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.
Testing Activities: Conduct automated, manual, exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing.
Specialized Testing: Perform API testing, performance testing for scalability, and security testing aligned with best practices.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, collaborating closely with developers to resolve them.
Process Improvement: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast feedback loops and driving QA process improvements.
Mentorship (Senior Level): Guide and mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
Requirements
3-5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in Agile/Scrum environments. Hands-on experience in developing test strategies and architecting automation frameworks.
Technical Skills
Programming/Scripting: Strong proficiency in at least one language (e. g., Python, JavaScript).
Test Automation: Expertise with modern frameworks (Playwright, Cucumber.js ); familiarity with Selenium/WebDriver is valued.
API & Performance Testing: Skilled with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, and k6
Management Tools: Proficient in Jira and TestRail.
