Job Description

The Senior QA Engineer plays a key role in ensuring product quality across web and mobile applications. This position involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performing software. Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing is essential to drive continuous improvement in quality and testing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and backend services.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, or Postman.
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Participate in requirements reviews and design discussions to provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues.
Implement continuous testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Ensure testing coverage, maintain test documentation, and contribute to quality standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of hands-on QA experience, including both manual and automated testing.
Strong experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar).
Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum development environments.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
