Top 3 responsibilities

Review requirements using BDD and design/implement test strategies across multiple technical areas.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives Job Responsibilities Review business requirements and use BDD to create clear, testable scenarios. Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Developers, and global teams. Build, automate, and integrate test suites—including API tests—into CI/CD pipelines. Use cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for testing and deployment. Perform manual and exploratory testing to complement automation. Use Git for code reviews, branching, and tracking code quality. Track and report bugs clearly using tools like JIRA. Prioritize and run regression tests based on risk. Read application code to help with debugging and writing tests. Foster excellence, innovation, and ongoing improvement in quality assurance practices. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficient in automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright) and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript). Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines such as AWS CodePipeline and Jenkins. Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies ISEB or ISTQB certification.
