As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team, designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, supporting the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Identifies and implements areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts Collaborates with various teams including QA teams, IT Development, Project Management Assists the team to develop test project plans, test schedule, test plans, and detailed test cases as defined by Project teams Participates in review sessions of business requirements, technical requirements, and design documents to ensure that software changes are understood to facilitate testing Sponsors initiatives designed to support continual QA process improvements, and the integration of the QA process with other development activities Initiates and completes test escape and root cause analysis, testing lessons learned, recommends future process improvements and defect prevention Participates in integration testing strategies to ensure end-to-end system reliability Develops and executes test plans for mobile applications, ensuring compatibility and performance across various devices and platform
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Proven experience with Test script design in Gherkin format (BDD-Cucumber) Hands-on practical experience on Performance Testing using tools such as Jmeter/Blazemeter Deep knowledge of various Testing Models (BDD/Agile Practices) Proficient in Framework Development with automation tools such as Selenium and hands-on coding in Java Expertise in API / Contract testing. Experience implementing contract testing methodologies for microservices architectures Experience in all aspects of functional, integration, and regression testing Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the integration of various testing strategies Experience in working with globally distributed teams Proficient experience with Agile tools such as JIRA or Confluence
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Experience with testing Mobile Native & Hybrid Apps and relevant Automation Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, containerization e.g., Docker) Exposure in Database-related programming & Non-Functional Testing Experience with testing tools like Playwright (Typescript/JavaScript) Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Machine Learning (ML) testing frameworks and tools, understanding of AI/ML model validation and testing Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in testing automation
