As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Markets Tech Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, backend and API applications.
  • Collaborate with cross functional and business teams to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Develop and  maintain comprehensive documentation for automation script, framework and process.
  • Work with Developers, BA and Product team to identify and address bugs and inconsistencies in software.
  • Be responsible to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Be proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Participate and contribute in agile ceremonies .

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience of open-source User Interface (UI) test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Play wright etc.
  • Strong understanding of any programming language like Java and Python, Java Script.
  • Writing test automation scripts using BDD Tools - Cucumber, Spec flow, Gherkin etc.
  • Experience of API Testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI etc.
  • Support and evolve CI/CD Platform for continuous testing.
  • Experience in performance test execution like JMeter.
  • Hands on experience on Git /Gitlab runners /equivalent.
