Role Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead for an automotive testing project in Japan.
• The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between the customer and the project team, providing technical leadership, guidance, and innovative solutions.
• This role requires strong expertise in system testing, component testing, automation, and automotive protocols, along with excellent communication skills in Japanese and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the testing team, ensuring smooth execution of project deliverables.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams.
• Oversee the entire V-Model development cycle, focusing on System Testing, Component Testing and Test Automation.
• Commission and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.
• Design and implement new automation solutions and introduce innovative applications for testing.
• Drive integration of AI-based solutions into the testing environment.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Language

• Fluent in Japanese and English.

Work Authorization: Valid work VISA in Japan. Strong programming skills for automation (Python, CAPL, or similar). In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, especially Body Domain. Hands-on experience with HIL commissioning and test automation frameworks.

Expertise in automotive communication protocols: CAN, Ethernet, UDS. Familiarity with V-Cycle methodology and system-level testing. Proven ability to lead teams and resolve technical queries effectively. Relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent). Ability to conceptualize and implement AI-driven testing solutions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and deploying automation tools for automotive testing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Prior experience in customer-facing roles within automotive projects.
