Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. In this role you will be responsible for developing, programming, and maintaining automation and electrical control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS, to support plant operations and new projects. Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and integration efforts while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and contractors to drive automation improvements and project success.
Key Responsibilities In coordination with the Automation/Commissioning Manager, develop the plans for assigned projects. Lead the programming, development, set up and commission of automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS) including training and maintenance Supports the local organization on troubleshooting or software modification both remotely and in person. Design wiring diagrams, electrical connections/connection points, circuit boards, layouts of control systems, electrical schematics, and single line diagrams. Work with contractors and suppliers to install and maintain automation and equipment Assist with all new all electrical projects, integration, and installations for new construction and continuous improvement projects. Provide process hazard analysis as it relates to electrical safety. Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly. Travel to project sites (up to 50% of the time) to ensure projects tasks are on-time and engineering goals and timeframe. Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or University in Engineering Minimum of three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Working knowledge of PLC programming software including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Omron and Siemens. HMIs, SCADA or DCS programming experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint within a Windows environment. Valid U.S. driver’s license Ability to travel required.
