What is the role?
As an Functional Test Engineer, you will design and execute electrical and functional tests for satellite systems and subsystems. Your key tasks will include validating the modules' performance to meet mission requirements, creating detailed test documentation, and troubleshooting issues during the integration and testing phases.
Collaboration with integration and systems engineering teams is essential to ensure optimal test coverage. Your expertise will also aid in implementing risk reduction strategies and reliability improvements, significantly impacting our missions.
Some of your daily tasks will include
Design, develop, and execute electrical and functional tests for satellite systems and subsystems
Validate and verify the performance of modules and satellites, ensuring they meet mission requirements
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test procedures, results, and manuals
Troubleshoot electrical and functional issues during integration and testing phases, providing solutions to mitigate risks
Collaborate with the integration and systems engineering teams to ensure optimal test coverage
Assist in the implementation of risk reduction strategies and reliability improvements
What do you need?
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Space Engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum of one year of experience in electrical and functional testing, preferably in the space sector
Knowledge of satellite systems and functional testing methodologies
Significant experience with Python and LabVIEW
Proficiency in working with electrical circuits, MCU systems, and relevant testing tools
Familiarity with nanosatellite/microsatellite systems is an advantage
