Project Description

• We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP S4 HANA Finance Tester/Test Lead who can take on both hands-on testing and test leadership responsibilities. This role requires expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Finance module, data quality validation, and automation testing using Tricentis TOSCA. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, experience working with diverse client teams and vendors, and the ability to support defect management using QTest.
• The project involves SAP Finance data reporting in IBM Apptio, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, particularly around Cost Elements and General Ledger (GL).
• This position will start with one hire and, if successful, has the candidate has the opportunity to manage a group of possibly 10+ testing resources as the project scales.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute SAP S/4HANA Finance testing, ensuring accurate financial data validation and reconciliation.

• Perform data quality and validation testing for financial data reporting in IBM Apptio.

• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.

• Utilize Tricentis TOSCA for test automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Manage defect tracking and resolution using QTest, ensuring all issues are logged, prioritized, and resolved in coordination with developers.

• Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams, business analysts, and finance stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to align testing with development cycles.

• Act as a People Manager and Test Lead, mentoring junior testers and ensuring the team follows best practices in testing and quality assurance.

• Collaborate with diverse client teams and vendors, maintaining clear and professional communication.

• Ensure compliance with financial data validation standards and reporting requirements.

Mandatory Skills Description

• 7+ years of software testing experience, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance testing.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Finance modules, particularly Cost Elements and General Ledger (GL).

• Strong expertise in data validation and reconciliation in IBM Apptio or similar financial reporting tools.

• Proficiency in test automation using Tricentis TOSCA.

• Experience with defect management tools like QTest for test execution and defect tracking.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.

• Must be amenable to work US EST hours.

• Strong communication skills to interact with business users, developers, and cross-functional teams.

• Experience working with external vendors and diverse client teams.

• Must have leadership and people management experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description

• Experience working with other test tools and automation tools is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to do hybrid work if needed.
