Role: Platform Test Lead (SAP & Non-SAP) Location: Ice Cream Office Pune Scope: Global Type: Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a highly technical and strategic Platform Test Architect to define and lead the testing strategy for our enterprise application landscape, which includes SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, BTP) and connected non-SAP applications. The ideal candidate will be an expert in driving end-to-end automation, performance engineering, and service virtualization, ensuring high quality and rapid delivery in DevOps pipelines. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy for hybrid, multi-application environments, incorporating both SAP and non-SAP systems. Tool Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Tricentis qTest (test management), Tricentis NeoLoad (performance), and Int4 Suite (API/Interface testing). Int4 & SAP Testing: Leverage Int4 Suite for automated testing of SAP middleware (SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP AIF), enabling virtualized testing without needing agent installations. Performance Engineering: Define and execute performance testing strategies (load, stress, endurance) for complex, integrated SAP and non-SAP scenarios using NeoLoad. Automation Frameworks: Build and maintain scalable, model-based test automation frameworks (incorporating Tosca/qTest). DevOps Integration: Integrate qTest and NeoLoad into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for continuous testing. Test Data Management: Develop test data management strategies to ensure data readiness across SIT, regression, and performance cycles. Governance & Mentorship: Establish governance processes for test script maintenance and provide training/coaching to QA teams. Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for ERP projects including but not limited to SAP4Hana, including integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the total deployment landscape. Team Leadership: Co-ordinate a team of test analysts (onshore and offshore), ensuring effective test execution and timely delivery of project milestones. Test Design & Execution: Oversee the creation and review of test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business requirements and functional specifications. Defect Management: Manage defect lifecycle, including logging, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution in collaboration with development and functional teams. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all testing activities, providing regular updates to project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, best practices, and audit requirements throughout the testing process. Tool Utilisation: Utilise SAP testing tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, Tricentis Tosca , INT4 ) to manage test assets and reporting. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies for future ERP and non EPR projects. Preferred Skills Tooling: Int4 Suite: Deep knowledge of SAP interface testing and service virtualization. Tricentis NeoLoad: Expert-level performance testing for SAP HANA, Fiori, and web services. Tricentis qTest: Experience managing requirements, test plans, and automation execution. SAP Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP Activate methodology. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, API testing (REST/SOAP), and scripting languages. Non-SAP Skills: Experience testing web apps, microservices, and third-party integrations. Proven experience as a Test Lead in large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades. In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules, architecture, and business processes. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience in managing and mentoring test teams. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery models. Experience with test automation tools is a plus. ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred. Tricentis Tosca certification (Model-based automation). Experience with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) 7.2 and SAP Cloud ALM Required Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in software testing, with at least 5+ years in a Lead/Architect role specializing in SAP. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
